Behind the fences of a gated community, a singular game is being played out. The residents’ lives are regulated by an ancient, patriarchal code. For years, the Nowak and Kowalski families have been embroiled in a vendetta governed by the cyclical law of blood and honour. When the Nowaks’s son dies at the hand of Klara Kowalski, his nineteen-year-old sister Ewa is chosen by their father to avenge his death. Pressured by her family and the community of residents, she begins to hunt Klara. When the confrontation occurs, Ewa is faced with a choice between carrying out revenge in the name of honour and her own life and freedom.
