Luxor (2020)

Drama, F-Rated, World Cinema 1h 25m

British aid worker Hana (Andrea Riseborough) has returned to the city of Luxor, Egypt, where she lived in her 20s, seeking respite from the mental and physical turmoil of her time spent working at a clinic on the Jordanian-Syrian border, treating victims of the war. As she wanders through the memory-filled hotel lobbies and ancient, majestic ruins, haunted by the familiar sights and sounds, she comes across Sultan (Karim Saleh), a talented archaeologist and former lover. The chemistry is undeniable, yet Hana struggles to reconcile the choices of the past with the uncertainty of the present.
