Adam's Apple

A transgender teen and his mother, visual artist Amy K. Jenkins, collaborate to chronicle their lives over two decades, documenting a family in flux, and offering an authentic counterpoint to the hostility facing trans youth today. Adam’s journey balances the milestones of gender transition with the growing pains of adolescence. As Adam asserts his identity and steps out into the world, his parents grapple with the challenges of raising a teen while learning to let go.

Adam’s Apple will screen in the Irish Film Institute on Saturday the 26th of September as part of the IFI Documentary Festival. Following this the film will be available for rental from Monday September 28th until Monday October 5th.
