The IFI@Home App
The IFI@Home iOS app can be downloaded here and the IFI@Home Android app can be downloaded here.
There is also a specific app available for Apple TV. Please search for IFI@Home on your Apple TV. The Amazon Fire TV App is available here. Once you have rented a film on www.ifihome.ie, the film will automatically appear in your app Library. Please note that you cannot currently purchase films through the app.
Once purchased, you can then watch you film on your Apple/Android portable device or stream/cast it to your TV. Films are also available to download on app for offline viewing.
Supported devices and browsers
We advise customers to use the IFI@Home apps or the following browsers in order to view IFI@Home films. You will also need a broadband or fibre internet connection. If you would like to test your setup, please create a free account and watch our free test video here.
For security and licensing reasons, some films on IFI@Home can only be viewed on recommended browsers: Microsoft Edge, Safari, the iOS or Android Apps, Chromecast or Airplay.
If you watch these films using Google Chrome, Firefox or Opera, the film may only be available in standard definition (SD) and not high definition (HD). Not all Smart TVs have the capability to load IFI@Home and you may need to cast/airplay from another device.
Windows computers
We support computers running Windows 10 and Windows 11. Earlier versions are not officially supported.
Please use Google Chrome v127 or above, Microsoft Edge v127 or above, Firefox v127 or above, or Opera v102 or above. Internet Explorer is no longer supported.
Mac computers
We support Macs running OSX 10.12+.
Please use Google Chrome v127 or above, the latest Safari version for your device, Firefox v127 or above, or Opera v102 or above.
Android
We support Android devices running Android 6.0 or later.
Please use Google Chrome v127 or above or the inbuilt browser.
iOS
We support iOS 11.2 or later.
Please use Safari, Google Chrome v127 or above or Microsoft Edge v127 or above.
iPad OS
We support iPad OS 11.2 or later.
Please use Safari, Google Chrome v127 or above or Microsoft Edge v127 or above.
Apple TV
We support tvOS 12.0 or later. We support Airplay v4.0 or later to Apple TV.
Amazon TV
We support Fire TV Gen 1-3, Fire TV 4K and Fire TV Lite.
Linux
Linux is not currently supported.
Chromecast
Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge web browsers are enabled to allow casting to Chromecast, as well as the IFI@Home app. First generation
Chromecasts are not supported due to a bug they have decoding DRM.
Smart TVs
For a stable experience, we recommend upgrading to the latest version of AmazonTV, AndroidTV or AppleTV depending on your device.
