Insider / Outsider: New Documentary Perspectives

Bringing a selection of recent feature-length documentaries to our digital platforms, this programme positions Irish filmmakers within an international community of storytellers. Here Irishborn filmmakers, Catherine Harte, Maurice Fitzpatrick, Tadhg O’Sullivan, Jill Beardsworth and Keith Walsh cast their lens beyond these shores, while elsewhere-born directors Paula Kehoe, Loïc Jourdain and Jon Bang Carlsen focus on distinctly Irish stories. These films are as varied in form as the tales they tell, and include observational, historical and essayistic styles.
